In order to most appropriately and consistently meet the needs of our customers and provide an inherent structure of continual improvement within our operations, Plastiserve has implemented ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.
The introduction of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards will help maintain our focus on the following key principles:
“We provide a reliable, responsive, and flexible service to moulders and extruders in the provision of raw materials to ensure we add value to our customer’s sourcing and supply chain needs. Using our network of supply options, we work extensively to source viable material options for our customers that enhance product offerings to the market they serve. We operate collaboratively with our customers to build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.”
This international standard defines the requirements for the implementation of a quality management system (QMS).
Although implementing 9001 was a strategic decision to help improve our overall performance, it was especially relevant to us due to its focus on customer satisfaction. Inherent in the structure of the QMS is the necessity to determine the requirements of our customers, monitor when/how they have been met and how our customers perceive our performance.
Fundamentally it provides a basis for helping to achieve continual improvement and minimise the potential and severity of any negative effects on our customers and the supply of our products and services.
ISO 14001 has become the international standard for planning and introducing an environmental management system into an organisation.
By implementing this standard within our business operations, we have established a systematic approach to help us objectively manage the environmental opportunities and impacts of our activities.
The addition of 14001 has implemented a life cycle analysis to the purchase, use and distribution of our products and services. Combining this with the control of our activities, and close communication with our supply partners, allows us to holistically monitor and enhance our overall environmental performance and achieve operational and competitive benefits from the promotion of environmentally sound alternatives.
In adopting these standards we were keen to entrust certification to a UKAS accredited body. This ensures our certification has been issued by an authority which has been rigorously reviewed and checked against the highest possible standards, giving you the trust and confidence in our assessment.
“UKAS accreditation underpins the UK and global quality infrastructure with our independence and expertise, creating trust and confidence in the products and services we all rely upon.”
